Along with learning to play the recorder in Year 3 as part of the music lessons, all of our children are offered the opportunity to learn instruments.

We have specialist teachers who visit school each week to teach various instruments. We can offer Guitar, Woodwind, Violin and Cello lessons.

Guitar lessons are taught by Mr. Speight on Thursdays. Mr. Speight has been with our school for many years now and below are some images from his lessons.

Woodwind lessons take place on Wednesdays and are led by Mr. Neale.

Children are learning fife, flute and saxophone.

We are very lucky to have Ms. Maguire as our violin teacher. She has been with us now for many years and chooses SASF to be the only school at which she teaches.

From time to time Ms. Maguire brings along the Irish folk band in which she plays to give us demonstrations of how versatile the violin can be.

Violin lessons are held every Tuesday in school.

Michael Christie teaches these lessons every Friday.
