At St Andrew & St Francis school, our kitchen offers hot, healthy lunches cooked on site daily with fresh ingredients. School dinners are served in our dining hall in the Francis building. Both school dinner pupils and packed lunched pupils for KS1 and KS2 eat thier lunches in the Francis dining hall. If the weather is suitable packed lunch children may eat their lunches outside in the playground at our designated area on the picnic benches.
School meals are available at a cost of £2.00 per day - You have the option to pay for the meals daily, weekly or monthly. You can do this by going online as just recently all parents were issued with a username and password to use our new system called Parent Pay. If you use this system it is best to pay weekly or monthly as daily incurs a charge.
At present an online menu is not available. Please view the menu on the school notice boards or obtain a copy from the office. They include vegetarian and halal options, we do not serve beef or pork. You may choose to send your child to school with a packed lunch, please try to make the lunch as suitable for the child as possible. No glass bottles. Packed lunch boxes should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and class in case the child misplaces it during the school day.
Should you wish to change your child from packed lunch to school dinner or vice versa, then this change must happen at the end of the half term.
Please do keep up to date with payments.
You may be eligible to apply for free school meals. Forms are available from the school office or you can apply online at www.brent.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals.
If you obtain a form from the school office, you are to send this form completed to Brent Council.
